Description: 'Sterilized Surgical Suture 'Marylebone' Sutures on 'Eyeless' needle 13/14 inches Black Gossamer Silk Worm Gut. The second image reveals that the gut is inserted into a hole at the end of the needle and secured by crimping the metal around the thread.
