Attenborough Total knee prosthesis

Description: Knee prosthesis, removed after implantation, showing wear/damage to the tibial component. It is described as a stabilised gliding knee prosthesis. A central pin mechanism which replaces the stabilising influence of the cruciate ligament, is missing from the specimen. The device was introduced circa 1973.
This example was used circa 1977.
