Metal container with 'Hypodermic Tablets

Description: Hinged, clasped, nickel plated metal case, similar to a cigarette case designed for the retention of small glass vials containing 'Hypodermic Tablets. The tablets were designed to be introduced into the barrel of a dismantled glass syringe and, after reassembly, dissolved in suitable solvent for injection. Convenient but impossible to maintain sterile conditions durin their use.Drugs included:
- Atropine Sulphate 1/100 grain
- Hyoscine Bromide 1/200 grain
- Strychnine sulphate 1/60 grain
- Digitaline 1/100 & Strychnine 1/60 grain
- Digitalin pur. 1/100 grain
- Strophanthin 1/200 grain
- Hyoscine hydrobromide 1/200 grain
- Apomorphine HCl 1/10 grain
