Description: applied to the nose to enforce mouth breathing. The plastics item is single patient use and eliminates the possibility of cross infection.
The steel sprung version is of the type used by divers wearing face masks that prevent the nose from being pinched to help to equaualise pressures in the middle ear by forcibly 'blowing' his/her nose. Modern masks make clips unnecessary. In lung function and physiology laboratories they are used with mouth-pieces to isolate the respiratory gases.
