Description: The Portex nylon tracheal connector was the first British device to be manufactured from plastics materials. It features a captive suction port cap and is capable of being 're-sterilised' by autoclaving, boiling water, chemical and ethylene oxide processes though some deterioration does occur resulting in progressive deformation and discolouration. Available in a range of sizes to accommodate connection to rubber tracheal tubes.
