Wright's Nebuliser

Accession #: 2008267

Description: The nebuliser operates by aspirating fluid from the reservoir into the atomiser assembly through the flexible yellow tube. The liquid column is shattered by incorporation into the driving gas jet stream and the wide spectrum of particle size is refined by impaction perpendicularly against the reservoir wall. The resulting mist is sufficiently stable to deliver dissolved drug down an oxygen or air delivery tube to a mask or alternative breathing system. Developed while Dr Wright was working at the Pneumoconiosis Research Unit of the Medical Research Council at Llandough Hospital, Penarth.

Dimensions: 130 x 60 x 30 mm
