Description: This would have been used for introducing blind ended catheters with side holes into supra-pubic stomas, chest cavities, gastrostomies etc. The catheters would have been manufactured from red rubber. Chromium plated metal with nipple end.Particularly indicated for de Pezzer & Malécot catheters, both of which have bulbous (de P.) or deformed (M.) ends causing them to be normally self-retaining but which need to be stretched over an introducer for successful insertion. The handle incorporates a sprung clip for grasping the (stretched) catheter
