Leatherette-covered, velvet and satin-lined presentation case bearing the engraved brass escutcheon of Dr J.M.Williams, Pentrepoeth House, Morriston, Swansea. The battery handle is missing but nearly all other components are included. An unusual nasal speculum incorporates spreadable blades. There is also a large and a small tongue depressor, inspection lamp with detachable laryngeal mirrors, and an auroscope. Case bears the the name of Philip Harris & Co. Ltd., Edmund Street, Birmingham.

Components are chromium-plated brass.
